What are the most common reasons why one click upsells would not be displayed during checkout?
The most common reasons are :
Special Payment Methods: Post-purchase offers won't show if you made a test order with a product worth less than 1$ or used Gift Cards, Cash on Delivery (COD), or free orders ($0).
Unsupported Payment Processor: Post-purchase offers work only with 'direct' Credit Card payments on Shopify Checkout, Shop Pay, or PayPal Express digital wallet.

It appears just below the upsell product.
This is a Shopify configuration that enables them to track upsell sales. Without it, you won't see the product added to the Shopify order.
